      骨质疏松症(osteoporosis,OP)是一种以骨量减少、骨组织微结构破坏和骨脆性增加为特征的代谢性骨病。高迁移率族蛋白B1(high mobility group protein 1,HMGB1)作为一种重要的炎症介质和细胞信号分子,近年来在OP的病理生理过程中被逐渐揭示出其重要作用。研究发现,HMGB1与骨质丢失和骨微结构破坏密切相关,其表达水平在OP患者体内显著上升。HMGB1通过影响多种细胞类型,如成骨细胞、破骨细胞和免疫细胞,在OP的发病过程中发挥关键作用。而关于HMGB1在OP的细胞信号转导通路方面的研究也取得了一系列进展:通过调控细胞行为和基因表达,进一步影响OP的病理生理过程,包括炎症反应、细胞增殖、分化和凋亡等。尽管HMGB1在OP的发病过程中发挥重要作用,但目前针对HMGB1潜在靶点的特异性抑制剂或药物尚未广泛应用于临床治疗。因此,深入研究HMGB1的作用机制,寻找有效的药物干预策略,对于OP的防治具有重要意义。

      Osteoporosis (OP) is a metabolic bone disease characterized by reduced bone mass, microstructural damage to bone tissue, and increased bone fragility. High mobility group protein 1 (HMGB1), as an important inflammatory mediator and cellular signaling molecule, has gradually been revealed to play a significant role in the pathological and physiological processes of OP. Research has found that HMGB1 is closely related to bone loss and microstructural damage, and its expression level significantly increases in OP patients. HMGB1 plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of osteoporosis by affecting various cell types such as osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and immune cells. A series of advances have also been made in the study of HMGB1 in the cellular signaling pathway of OP. HMGB1 affects the pathophysiological processes of OP, including inflammatory response, cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, by regulating cell behavior and gene expression. Although HMGB1 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of OP, specific inhibitors or drugs targeting potential targets of HMGB1 have not yet been widely used in clinical treatment. Therefore, in-depth research on the mechanism of action of HMGB1 and the search for effective drug intervention strategies are of great significance for the prevention and treatment of OP.
