(Q3:OR=0.257,95%CI: 0.108~0.612;Q4:OR=0.238,95%CI:0.092~0.616;P均≤0.003);中等UHR水平Q2组(OR=0.605,P=0.167)、UHR作为连续变量(OR=0.997,P=0.050)在调整BMI后无统计学意义。 |

| Objective To explore the relationship between the ratio of serum uric acid (sUA) to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (UHR) and sarcopenia in the elderly in Xinjiang communities. Methods This study was a prospective one. A follow-up was conducted on the "Xinjiang Longitudinal Aging Cohort" (ChiCTR2400093292) in June 2024, involving a total of 476 elderly individuals (aged 65 and above). Analyzed the differences and correlations among grip strength, walking speed, ASM and SMI in each UHR group. Logistic regression model was used to evaluate the relationship between UHR and sarcopenia, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to assess the predictive value of UHR for sarcopenia. Results The ASM, SMI and mean grip strength increased with the increase of UHR (P<0.05). General linear model analysis showed that UHR (Q3-Q4 groups) was positively correlated with grip strength (?=2.064) and SMI (Q3 ?=0.693, Q4 ?=0.911) (P<0.05), and muscle function decline was positively correlated with age increase and female gender (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that after adjusting for confounding factors such as BMI, HCY, CYS-c, age, gender, smoking and drinking, a high level of UHR (Q3-Q4 quartile group) reduced the risk of sarcopenia (Q3: OR=0.257, 95% CI: 0.108-0.612;) Q4: OR=0.238, 95% CI: 0.092-0.616; All P≤0.003; The Q2 group with moderate UHR level (OR=0.605, P=0.167) and UHR as a continuous variable (OR=0.997, P=0.050) had no statistical significance after adjusting for BMI. ROC analysis indicated that UHR had a moderate ability in predicting sarcopenia, with an AUC of 0.639 (95% CI: 0.570-0.708). Conclusion Elevated UHR may be a protective factor for muscle mass and strength. The protective effect of the high UHR group (Q3-Q4) on sarcopenia was stable and independent of metabolic factors such as BMI, HCY and Cys-C. |
